research
primary research
Hiring experts are the primary users
We interviewed 11 users, including recruiters, startup CEOs, HR at big tech to understand their processes, preferences, and pain points in the sales hiring process.
Also using Affinity Map to help us brainstorm possible features and pain points insights.
What our users say?
secondary research
Competitor Analysis
After user interviews with our target user group, me and other UX researcher did competitor analysis on 3 major recruitment tools. Our main approach is to solve the problems encountered in recruitment efforts by understanding what special features different recruitment tools have, whether they are supported by AI or not.
pain points & opportunities
Key Insights & Design Opportunities
After analyzing insights from our users interviewing, we landed on "human first approach". The opportunities lie in emphasizing informative decision making, achieving hiring efficiency and building AI trust.
Having a good set of soft skills is key for sales. However, can feel doubtful at times when relying on experiences and intuition to assess soft skills.
“We want to secure sales as quickly because the right talents are hard to get in a competitive market.”
“I don’t know if the evaluation from AI is trustworthy and accurate.”
Leverage interview recordings and other data as the the foundations of AI analysis and evaluations.
Automate and simplify the workflow, such a post-interview evaluation or skill assessment.
We take a “human first” approach, making sure AI only assist users when necessary.

business alignment
Aligning Users Goals with Business Goals
The team aligned with the CEO, PM, and developers to synthesize research findings and define user and business goals for the next phase of product design. We carefully balanced user needs with company objectives to identify optimal solutions. Additionally, with assistance from developers, we gained a thorough understanding of design constraints and updated our approach accordingly.
