About Sleepwalking
Sleepwalking (somnambulism) is a scene we commonly see in the movies, with whole creepy and weird actions. In reality, most sleepwalking people are considered as being in benign condition. Sleepwalking is a disorder of arousal, usually occurs during patient's N3 sleep, which is the deepest part of non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep. During an episode of sleepwalking the brain is partially awake, resulting in complex behaviors, and partially in NREM sleep with no conscious awareness of actions.
All sleepwalking patients has their own unique patterns and eccentricities, but it most often occurs within an hour or two of falling asleep. Sleepwalking could potentially lead to some serious consequences, such as physical injury, violent behavior or embarrassment actions. At the same time, it will cause some negative effects on their bed partner, roommates, and/or housemates.

Through first-hand research and interviews with sleepwalking patients, we can find that they still encounter many inconveniences and problems in their daily lives. Although as a small group, this group of patients also needs attention from society.
